The new luxury Orsos Island is a highly innovative luxury yacht-like concept, developed by an Austrian company ORSOS Island GmbH, founded in 2012. With naval architecture by SMC-Danube and design by Csikos Terv, the 37-metre Orsos Island provides an easy going, relaxed as well as personal holiday that mixes up all the positive aspects of both mainland real estate and a luxury yacht.
The founder of the company is Gabor Orsos, a tourism expert, boasting years of experience in hospitality, exquisite cousine and real estate. The main aim of the 37m Orsos Island concept is to offer completely new opportunities for living space design.
The Orsos Island concept combines personal atmosphere, natural experience and the mobility of a yacht, with the comfort of a mainland home. In an extremely comfortable and personal atmosphere guests have the choice of living together or alone and are assisted by highly qualified local experts, available at all times.
The Orsos Island is over 20 meters wide and measures more than 37 meters in length, which offers excellent potential for a sophisticated and spacious layout. With about 400 m² on each floor, the Island offers up to 1,000 m² of living space.
INTERIORS
Comfort and convenience are ensured by the six, large about 20m² elegantly decorated staterooms for up to 12 guests. These are accessible through the living room, half a level lower.
The nearly identical rooms are equipped with ensuite bathrooms. Furthermore, each room features all the modern conveniences, and large picturesque windows that provide a spectacular view of the surrounding area.
Upon request, two adjoining rooms may be combined, using a unique Connect-System, to create a flexible living room layout.
Accommodation for 4 professional crew, as well as an office and a separate guest toilet, are also situated on this level.
ENERGY
The high level of environmental friendliness that characterizes the Orsos Island is due to, among other things, an autonomous power supply based energy system. This is powered, both day and night, by a blissfully noiseless wind energy system, as well as more than 160 m² of solar panels making the most use of daylight.
Orsos Island doesn’t have its own drive engine; for greater destination it’s recommended to use a cargo ship; but to nearby locations it can be easily moved by a tow boat.
