The 38-metre hull C.2130, sailing yacht DAHLAK currently under construction at the Perini Navi shipyard in Italy has finished her mast stepping and is now getting ready for launch and christening, which is to take place this coming Saturday. Her 51,40-metre carbon fibre mast is combined with a 14m furling boom and composite standing rigging for a sail plan surface area of more than 1,870 square metres.
Constructed completely at the Perini Navi Group’s Picchiotti yard, located in La Spezia, DAHLAK boasts striking lines by Philippe Briand and was named after the Red Sea archipelago where her owner sailed as a boy.
The yacht was created for fast and easy sailing, and was built completely of Sealium aluminium alloy. DAHLAK also features a number of technical innovations that show Perini Navi’s commitment to offering owners the latest in technology that boosts performance, sail handling and onboard comfort, including electric captive winches engineered in-house and a Lithium polymer battery system for silent running.
DAHLAK will be launched on Saturday 5th of March in La Spezia.
