Luxury yacht HYGGE is a brand new 40.7m (133’6″) MCP Seaview who was recently launched and is now undergoing sea trials. Her 40.7m (133’5″) aluminium hull and superstructure were designed by Vripack who are also credited with her interiors.
Damien Chavers, CEO of MCP Yachts describes her as, “A modern and timeless design, which conveys the elegance and greatness of a genuine MCP Yachts transoceanic yacht; and which both allows audacious voyages to the most remote points of the planet, promoting unparalleled comfort on relaxing family cruises along the coast.”
The sea trials have revealed that HYGGE can exceed her contractual 20 knots by reaching a 22.2 knot top speed delivered from two powerful Caterpillar C32 engines of 1,925 MHP each with an anticipated range of up to 3,500 nm.
Her owner has been impressed with the results and the silent sailing. He had this to say, “I would never have imagined such a sensation… to go outside and be hit by such surprising speed, high stability and zero noise inside the boat.”
Once they take delivery, the owner can look forward to extremely high levels of privacy thanks to the independent crew staircases and corridors designed using innovative space solutions and ideas. She delivers ample leisure and sociable spaces that make the most of the surroundings including a sky lounge with large windows, a master cabins with private terrace and six VIP staterooms across the upper and lower decks. A sun deck pool and lower deck beach club are a must on any great superyacht and motor yacht HYGGE has both, plus a gym and spa.
Spectators at Santos Bay in Brazil were delighted to witness superyacht HYGGE pass by and we look forward to seeing more of her too – perhaps on the charter market one day.
