The new 46m Feadship superyacht 689 (Dubois design 379) features interior design by Redman Whiteley Dixon and will accommodate 12 guests in 6 cabins, as well as 9 crew in 5 cabins. Another beautiful 46m Feadship – yacht hull 688 – is also under construction at the Dutch yard, due to be launched in 2014.
Before choosing Feadship in Holland for the build of this beautiful 46m Dubois superyacht, the owner considered a number of shipyards. Following the visit of the De Vries shipyard, he was so impressed by the build quality, that choosing this world leader in yacht construction was the obvious answer.
In addition to her outstanding build and fit-out quality, the new Feadship hull 689 superyacht (Dubois yacht design 379) will also boast a unique accommodation layout. There will be a private owner’s apartment, spreading over the entire upper deck. The suite will feature a dining table for six positioned on the aft deck as well as a comfortable saloon. The sleeping cabin with panoramic sweep windows will be located forward. The top deck will also have a private hot tub.
Guests on board the magnificent 46m motor yacht by Feadship will find luxury and comfort in three spacious twin cabins, a double cabin as well as a VIP cabin. The latter also offers excellent views thanks to the glazed bulwarks. In addition, one of the twin cabins below can be converted into a double.
As the owner’s suite is in the admiral’s bridge upstairs, the wheelhouse has been placed on its own raised deck. The rest of the main deck has an exceptionally large professional galley amidships near by the formal dining table for 12. Al-fresco meals can be enjoyed in the cockpit, shaded by the upper deck overhang. There is also the private sun-deck right at the top, accessible through the owner’s aft-deck only.
The crew accommodation, which takes up almost half of the lower deck, incorporates a crew galley and mess, two twin-bunk en-suites, a large engineer’s twin and a double cabin for the owner’s staff. The crew quarters are linked via a port-side companionway to the wheelhouse and galley. Captain’s spacious suite is located on the main deck, just forward of the wheelhouse.
Opening onto the port side is the tender garage, which leaves the stern platform free for swimming and enjoying the various water toys.
With a her transatlantic range and displacing around 360 tonnes, the capable and luxurious 46m yacht 689 by Feadship and Dubois is powered by two 1,450hp Caterpillars giving a top speed of 16.5 knots and very economical cruising at 14.
