Celebrating its 160th anniversary this year, and only one month after the acquisition of the order for a 54m yacht, Baglietto is thrilled to announce another important achievement: the prominent Italian yard has just signed a second contract for the sale of a 46-metre steel and aluminium displacement hull yacht. Destined for an East-European Owner, the 46m Baglietto motor yacht Hull 10217 has been designed by architect Francesco Paszkowski and is expected to be handed over in 2015.
The 46m Baglietto superyacht, whose construction at the La Spezia shipyard is already at an advanced stage, joins Baglietto’s new line taking on its distinctive stylistic features: slightly square lines, like the ones of the main deck glazing, alternate with softer ones, such as those of the solid wood curved handrails, while the very streamlined bow stem reminds of Nordic boats.
The stern features a large (approximately 25 sq. m) beach club, while the forward technical space is used as a relaxation area for the crew and hosts a 5.50m dinghy as well as a rescue boat and a jet-ski.
Remarkable volumes can be found in the classical layout interiors too, including a living area, a dining area, the master stateroom on the main deck and four guest cabins (two double ones and two twin ones) on the lower deck.
Great care has been devoted to ensuring the utmost comfort in the crew quarters too, which feature four twin cabins with ensuite bathroom with shower, a dinette, a kitchen and a laundry, all located on the lower deck, while the captain cabin can be found on the upper deck behind the wheelhouse. The spacious galley with cold room is located on the main deck.
Two 3512B Caterpillar engines push the 46m Baglietto yacht to a maximum speed of approximately 17 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots, with an actual range of 4,500 miles. This yacht falls within the 500 GT category and will be classified in the top class of the American Bureau of Shipping and in compliance with MCA Standards.
Besides the 54m yacht for which the order was recently placed, Baglietto is also building a 46m sister ship – motor yacht Hull 10216 that will be presented at next season’s boat shows, and a 61m yacht; among planing yacht, a 43m and a 46m are currently under construction, and a 38m is at the design stage.
