Tuesday, 20th March 2012 saw the 48 metres Rossinavi motor yacht Ketos sea-towed from the shipyard in Pisa to Viareggio for the completion of her outfitting. Built entirely in aluminium, the new superyacht KETOS remains within the 500 GT limit and her two and half decks features interior volumes larger than the ones of similar vessels of her size, still maintaining dynamic and slender forms.
The main engines, twin MTU 16V2000 M94 rated 2600 BHP/each, have not been chosen to reach high speeds, but to grant the maximum comfort possible at 17.5 knots of top speed and better trim at sea will be provided by the Humphree Interceptors.
Superyacht KETOS summarises both elegance and aggressiveness: the first one is conveyed by the clean and slender external lines and volumes, with the second one providing many details recalling an aircraft as well as the car design milieu.
The ingenious windows ahead, typical of the KETOS design, are more than two meters high-cut, starting from the deck and finishing over the ceilings, thus enhancing the inside spaces and giving a wonderful and paramount view of the sea from the Owner’s suite.
The Designer, Enrico Gobbi from T4D, took thorough care of every single outside and inside detail, with a peculiar emphasis on the lighting system, which is the distinctive mark of this motor yacht.
As far as the outside spaces are concerned, the sky-lounge has to be mentioned, provided with electrically operated opening side windows and top, whereas in the aft part of it a circular opening window system allows to enjoy the Spa Pool pool both from the inside and the outside, thus granting the maximum level of privacy. KETOS yacht is due to be delivered in April 2013.
