Monday, July 15th saw the launch of the motor yacht MAIA in Bristva by Radez shipyard in Croatia. This vessel boasts a steel hull and superstructure constructed in Radež, adhering to the stringent guidelines and oversight of the Croatian Register of Shipping. Maia will be available for charter from 2025.
Designed as a motor ship, MAIA is powered by two CATERPILLAR C18 engines, each generating 447 kW of power. To enhance manoeuvrability during docking and departure, the yacht is equipped with a bow thruster. Measuring 53.10 m (174’21) in length and 8.24 meters in width, she can accommodate up to 12 passengers across six cabins. The passengers’ needs will be attended to by a crew of 11.
Classified as a yacht for commercial purposes, MAIA (Nb 69) is unrestricted in its sailing capabilities, designated to operate within navigation area 1. This launch represents a significant milestone for the company and underscores the craftsmanship and regulatory compliance achieved in its construction.
