The Cannes Yachting Festival celebrates its 40th anniversary today and the strong turnout from superyacht builders is evidence of the event’s enduring success. Showcasing the latest luxury yachts, products and services, the Cannes Yachting Festival is for many an opportunity to upgrade on-board facilities or even buy a completely new and modern luxury yacht.
Over 600 vessels will be in attendance but of the hundreds of superyachts, only 5 are above 40m/131ft and were launched in 2017. These are the latest and greatest luxury yachts in attendance at the Cannes Yachting Festival:
Andiamo – Baglietto
48m/157ft motor yacht ANDIAMO from Baglietto has the interior and exterior styling of Francesco Paszkowski Design in collaboration with Margherita Casprini for a cohesive appearance inside and out. Designed as a family yacht for a Mexican owner, superyacht ANDIAMO contains a cinema room, an infinity pool with waterfall and a large beach club, for which the tender garage was moved forward to create greater space.
Her truly lavish interiors are comprised of onyx and lacquered ebony and the central staircase is made of leather and steel. Spotted cruising in the Mediterranean over the summer, she will make her public debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival and will attend the Monaco Yacht Show at the end of September.
Willow – Benetti
The latest addition to the Veloce 140 series, 42m/138ft WILLOW is another exceptional motor yacht from Benetti with the exterior designed by Redman Whiteley Dixon while her glittering white internal living spaces are the work of Andrea Longinotti. Abstract artwork draws the eye through the minimalist contemporary design, where guests’ comfort is paramount.
Luxury yacht WILLOW has a beach club for relaxation beside the water, or guests have the choice of a great selection of water toys aboard this Approved RYA Water Sports Centre.
Superyacht Willow is available for charter in the Western Mediterranean from €154,000-€182,000 per week plus expenses. To find out more about her amenities and current availability, contact CharterWorld.
Razan – Turquoise yachts
Built by Turquoise Yachts in collaboration with H2 Yacht Design, 47m/154ft motor yacht RAZAN has glamorous monochrome interiors as sophisticated as her exterior styling and was described by Turquoise Yachts CEO Mehmet Karabeyoglu as:
“…an important landmark in the company’s evolution.”
Created to appeal to all ages, the facilities are designed for both relaxation and entertainment with a balance between interior and exterior spaces: The sundeck accommodates a large spa pool and a bar with a lounge area for all-day outdoor living, while the lower deck is home to an extensive beach club as well as a gym and dive centre.
Mangusta 42 – Overmarine
Designed by Alberto Mancini and launched in April, the Mangusta 42 represents Overmarine‘s continued commitment to performance and unparalleled comfort. Among the amenities is a bow swimming pool with an infinity-effect waterfall, with two separate sunpads that dip down towards the waterline. The glazed bottom of the pool forms the skylight to the Master suite below for optimal illumination that adds a beautiful dappled effect to the interior.
Appearance-wise, floor-to-ceiling windows run the length of the port and starboard sides to create a fluid appearance on both the main deck and the upper deck. As a result, the main salon and skylounge both receive plenty of natural light during the day and guests have uninterrupted views of their destination.
The Mangusta 42 has a range of 4,500 nautical miles when cruising at 11 knots and she has reduced noise and vibrations for a quiet night’s rest for all guests.
Elsea – CCN
50m/164ft all aluminium ELSEA was launched by CCN in April and features the exterior styling talents of Studio Bacigalupo, while Studio Vafiadis took care of the interior decor. She was an innovation for CCN and marked a new era in offering customised luxury yachts to owners interested in performance and interiors that more closely reflected their personality and requirements.
ELSEA is part of the Fuoriserie line of superyachts, and features a sleek white exterior with the power to reach up to 30 knots. The large foredeck is designed for entertaining and the owner requested a top of the line sound system to rival any nightclub’s. The interiors blend art deco with modern trends to create sophisticated lounges for guest relaxation. There are 6 large guest cabins aboard, one of which is a full-beam Master suite.
