Heesen Yachts have launched their latest masterpiece, the 50 metre superyacht SATORI, at their shipyard in Oss in the Netherlands. Motor yacht ‘Satori’ had her exterior lines and general arrangement designed by Omega Architects and her innovative and artistic interior was the creation of French designer Rémi Tessier.
Yacht Satori has an aluminium hull with a displacement of 322 tonnes. Her beam measures 8.5m and her draught is 2.5m. She is an important yacht launch in 2011 by the Hessen Dutch yacht building company.
Other yacht design work by Rémi Tessier includes recent work on Zefira. Earlier work on Squall gained him the Best Sail Interior International Superyacht Design Award in 2002. For S/Y Parsifal III he was awarded Best Sailing Yacht Interior Show Boat Awards 2006, and Salute saw the World Superyacht Awards in 2006 and for Riela he received Best Sailing Yacht Interior in the World Superyacht Awards 2010. Omega has also worked on several important superyachts and has received awards for work on motor yacht Celestial Hope
The Satori yacht has five cabins in total giving a maximum guest accommodation of 10 persons. She has a master suite, two VIPs and a further two twin cabins.
The 50 m M/Y Satori is expected to cruise at 12 knots and attain a top speed of around 24 knots with her semi-displacement hull. She has 2x MTU 16V 4,000 hp diesel engines and a range of 3,200 nautical miles. Yacht Satori is classed ABS.
