Heesen is delighted to announce the delivery of the 50m YN18250 yacht WHITE to her owners. This semi-displacement superyacht is the 7th in the award-winning 5000 Aluminium class by the respected Dutch builder, with naval architecture and exterior styling by Omega Architects and interiors by Cristiano Gatto.
WHITE underwent extensive sea trials in the North Sea in good weather conditions with waves up to half a metre where she proved to be very responsive, instantaneously responsive to steering commands thanks to the large rudders and the power steering unit. The yacht can be navigated with ease and confidence thanks to the combination of powerful bot thruster and the propellers optimised for her speed range even in windy conditions.
WHITE is powered by two MTU 2,880kW engines, exceeding her contractual top speed of 23 knots. The vibration tests also proved the yacht to be exceptionally quiet.
Project Aster (YN 18750), WHITE’s sister ship is being built at the yard in Oss and is available for delivery on June 30, 2019.
Heesen’s Board of Directors comments: “White is a beautiful addition to the successful 5000 Aluminium class, which delivers the ultimate combination of performance and efficiency. We are also extremely pleased with the open collaboration and mutual trust we developed with Abberley Yachts, with whom we worked for the first time.”
