Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2017 was the perfect occasion to make a very special announcement. It was revealed that the Italian yard, ISA Yachts, has taken an order for a 50m metre new-build motor yacht project, with delivery scheduled for 2020.
The new yacht is going to be built with a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure. This will be the 12th hull to be based on the yard’s 47-50 metre platform, quite a feat. The new motor yacht will also have a total interior volume of 499GT.
New features on the build are eagerly awaited from within the industry and motor yacht enthusiasts worldwide. This yacht is going to boast a key ISA design feature, grand arches which connect the cockpit to the superstructure. The aim is to have the perfect combination between elegance and sportiness.
Along with a key ISA design feature, the as-yet-unnamed tri-deck yacht will be capable of a top speed of 15 knots. The concept is also to include a transatlantic range when trimmed back to cruising speed.
This will be the third yacht that the Italian yard ISA has sold in the past two months. The previous two yachts were Alloy 43 and the 63m Project Rocco.
No more details of the latest 50 metre ISA project are to be released before next year. It’s more than likely that construction will take place at the yard’s main headquarters, Ancona.
Other superyacht projects are currently being carried out at this site. These include the 80 metre Columbus Classic yacht which is due for delivery sometime in 2018.
