The 53rd edition of the Genoa Boat Show – to be held from 2-6 October in Genoa, Italy -aims to become increasingly internationalized. The new features incorporate an international advertising campaign extended to target media from the emerging nations in the industry, social network communication by language, and boat show reception desk dedicated to foreign visitors.
In view of the new global geography of potential customers and visitors, above all from the emerging nations of the Far and Middle East, the organisers’ plans for this year’s edition include consolidation of the growing presence of foreigners (in 2012, the total was 22,000).
Hence – over and above the promotional campaign and the normal media actions regarding Italy – an innovative, articulated, internationally conducted advertising campaign was organised, with confirmation of countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, France, Spain, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, and the Czech Republic, and with actions involving specialised media in Russia, Turkey, the Middle East and Hong Kong-Singapore, specifically with a view to intercepting new commercial openings and development potentials in nations and economies displaying not only considerable growth but also an interest in products “made in Italy”, including boats (a sector in which Italy is a player of excellence!).
Important media partnership agreements have also been stipulated concurrently with the sector’s major magazines, worldwide, which are beginning to spread the word about the new developments awaiting visitors to the 2013 Boat Show – while also providing information on the innovative and more functional layout, the new theme areas, enhanced services, and the many events which are being planned in the city of Genoa on the occasion of the five days of the boat show.
We also note further reception and information services dedicated to visitors from all over the world.
Visitors can immediately access our social network resources (Facebook, Twitter and the dedicated website). Communication will be conducted in various languages, the aim being to foster contacts with as broad and as cosmopolitan a public as possible. During the days of the event, a dedicated reception desk shall also be set up, staffed by qualified personnel with a good command of various foreign languages. At the desk, visitors will find all the information they require on the event in its new version – for a stay in Genoa not only more fruitful but also more pleasurable!
