Featuring lovely smooth and contemporary styling, Nick Mezas Yacht Design introduces its latest motor yacht concept, the 55m Project Overture. The inspiration behind the Superyacht Project Overture was to create a vessel for long-distance cruising in complete comfort, whether spending time on the yacht’s spacious decks or on the inside.
The spacious interior and exterior areas are aesthetically pleasing and feature thick bulwarks on every deck, providing guest aboard with a sense of safety as well as adding to the yacht’s powerful looking design. It was clear right from the beginning that these elements represent an important part of the design in order for it to work.
Overture’s exterior boasts lovely long and fluent lines, flowing through the yacht’s decks to create her solid timeless design. One of the most important factors of Overture was her simplicity, which also forms her composed overall look.
Another significant feature is the walkabout on the bridge deck, allowing the owner and guests to enjoy unobstructed views forward and aft, as well as providing easy access to the yacht’s bow at all times. This is a unique feature, not often seen on yacht of her size, that also adds to the sleek proportion of the yacht’s design. In addition it allows the crew move aboard without having to pass through the guest areas.
Another detail which contributes to the yacht’s timeless sleek design is the bow’s top-plate which slopes gently back towards the yacht’s stern. This sloping line is accentuated by the hull’s grey metallic colour.
Guest accommodation has been created on the lower-deck of the Overture superyacht, incorporating 4 guest cabins (two twin and two doubles). Here we can also find the crew mess, 6 crew cabins for 12 crew as well as the laundry room; however all completely separated from the guest cabins. The spacious tender garage hosts two 21ft tenders, diving gear, Sea-Doos, canoes and other superyacht toys.
The main deck boasts the full-beam Owner’s suite, accessible via the owner’s office. This luxurious suite features a spacious bathroom with his and hers walk-in ward-robes and the large bathroom windows allow plenty of natural light to penetrate inside this luxurious area.
There is also a fifth guest cabin for VIP guests situated portside of the yacht, in-between the extensive galley and the owner’s suite.
Overture yacht’s saloon and dining area offer seating to up to 12 guests and are located aft on the main deck. Additionally, there is a vast outside lounge area with great views of the vessel’s surroundings.
Moving onto the bridge deck, guests will enter the spacious saloon, complimented with an abundance of natural light, thanks to the large windows. There is also a comfortable al-fresco seating area for those lovely romantic evenings to enjoyed while at anchor.
One of the most notable features of Overture is her sun-deck lounge. The windows in this area gently disappear into the sun-deck’s bulwarks and dodger, resulting in unparalleled and undisturbed views. This lounge is excellent for guests to relax in with a glass of wine or a good movie; as it combines all of Overture’s features so harmoniously.
