One of the finalists for the 2015 Young Designer of the Year Award, Lorenzo Berselli has beautifully designed the luxury sailing yacht Project GoWide. Superyacht Project GoWide is a comfortable and high performance 55-metre ketch.
The main feature of luxury yacht GoWide concept is to have a full beam saloon on the main deck with full height glazing on each side so that people on board can reach the bow from the aft cockpit by walking through the sun deck.
Thanks to this groundbreaking layout guests on board can enjoy the panorama in a 115m² luxury saloon.
While designing the exterior lines, in particular the shape of the main deck side windows, Lorenzo was inspired by an awesome concept car of the 70’s: the Lancia Stratos 0 by Bertone.
Project GoWide yacht has a ketch rig and is able to pass through the Panama Canal, which has an air draft clearance of 62.5 meters. The cockpit offers a shaded dining area for 10 guests, as well as an incredible swimming pool. On the sun deck there are some large sun pads, a lounge area and dual helm station with an innovative half pipe section floor in order to follow the ship declivity. The yacht has a storage for two tenders, one of 7 metres and the other of 5 meters in length.
The main saloon layout of GoWide superyacht concept includes a family lounge to suit the needs of the children who range from the ages of 4 to 14, a formal dining area and a day head. On the lower deck there are two guest and two VIP cabins, in addition to the owner’s suite, including an office, a walk-in closet and a luxury full beam bathroom with private access to the beach area.
In the crew quarters there is comfortable accommodation for 8 crew members in 5 cabins, a crew mess, a galley and a laundry.
