Dutch shipyard Feadship has launched the 58-metre motor yacht NAJIBA (meaning Noble), created for experienced owners looking for a ‘family superyacht’ featuring sleek and minimalist exterior lines and prestigious interiors.
NAJIBA is a result of a collaboration between Vitruvius Yachts and Philippe Briand with Claudio Cicconetti responsible for the general layout of the vessel. In addition, the interiors were created by interior designed Guillaume Rolland of Studio Christian Liaigre, while the owner’s project manager is Peter Wilson from MCM. This entire team was supported by Feadship’s builders and naval architects, resulting in a thoroughly enjoyable project with exceptional teamwork.
NAJIBA represents the first Feadship yacht to boast Vitruvius Yachts design reflected by her smooth lines and low, timeless profile. “At Vitruvius Ltd, we believe that architecture is the link between art and science. Art is also present in the clean and pure exterior lines and the way the interior design by Christian Liaigre plays dramatically with the wood and immaculate white surfaces to transport you into what feels like a whitewashed villa on the beach.
“There is an almost scientific approach in the concept behind the construction. Najiba is the second largest Feadship to be built in aluminium to date and features an extremely efficient hull. The result of the meticulously planned architecture keeps fuel consumption as low as eleven litres per nautical mile at twelve knots, enhancing the yacht’s sustainability.”
The interiors feature two master staterooms as well as an open-plan main deck arrangement, with no central staircase, are blocking the views. NAJIBA features plenty of angles and curves on her interiors, with a sailing yacht feel and plenty of teaks deployed to fine effect.
Accommodation includes two master suites for up to four guests and four guest staterooms for up to eight guests, offering overnight stay for up to twelve guests. There is a crew of fourteen on board. Water sports equipment includes two water scooters and one tender.
The yacht is fitted with two MTU 12V2000M72 Diesel engines of 1080 kW at 2250rpm, reaching a top speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. Her range is 4,400 nautical miles at 12 knots.
