Dutch shipyard Amels has announced the successful delivery of the second Amels 200 Limited Editions, luxury yacht MOONSTONE.
Measuring 60m/197ft, superyacht MOONSTONE is an imposing and elegant vessel featuring exterior styling from Tim Heywood and naval architecture by Damen Yachting, with Luxury Projects responsible for the glamorous 1,015 GT interiors.
Laura Pomponi, CEO and founder of Luxury Projects, drew attention to the high quality both in the furnishings and the installation, with most of the loose furnishings and some of the lighting fixtures designed and ordered only three months before delivery of M/Y MOONSTONE to her Owners. Notable features onboard include a lift (elevator) spanning four decks, an internal gym on the sundeck and enlarged windows – which reach full height in the Owner’s suite – that produce a greater sense of connection to the environment while enjoying indoor comforts.
The accommodation sleeps a total of 12 guests over 6 en-suite cabins, with a professional crew of 12 to ensure that everything runs at peak efficiency.
The Amels 200 Limited Editions model is capable of a top speed of 15.5 knots and a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots. Captain Nathan Milicich will now take M/Y MOONSTONE on her maiden voyage to pick up her guests in Athens before cruising on to the volcanic Aeolian Islands, Sicily and finally Sardinia. This last destination is where regattas such as the famous Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta fill the summer calendar at the town of Porto Cervo, and the nearby La Maddalena Archipelago offers scenic worlds to discover both above and below the sea.
