Exciting news has been released by the Alia Yachts shipyard in Turkey, where the yard has launched the new 60m luxury superyacht SAMURAI. The vessel was designed by the renowned naval architecture studio Van Oossanen, with exterior lines by Omega Architects and bespoke interiors by Redman Whiteley Dixon.
SAMURAI boasts strong horizontal lines and an organic evolution of the wheelhouse deck superstructure into the aft overhang of the main deck, creating a pleasant appearance and striking overall look.
Unique in her engineering and performance, the new ALIA 60 is based upon the innovative Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF), developed by Van Oossanen Naval Architects. The FDHF allows the vessel to reach previously unmatched efficiency throughout the power curve while providing her with a maximum speed of 21 knots.
SAMURAI is a high-volume and sophisticated vessel with powerful interior styling, with vast spaces for her owner and guests to enjoy. The vast interior volume is a direct result of diligent research, expertise and a committed team whose determination was to create spaces that are both functional and flexible at the same time. Amongst the main highlights of SAMURAI is her fantastic indoor and outdoor flow, resulting in appealing and refreshing spaces.
The layout is just as innovative, with guest accommodation and a spacious master suite all situated on the main deck, together with the main saloon and dining area. This arrangement creates an ambience reminiscent of a contemporary luxury residence. The owners’ and guest accommodation have been placed forward on the main deck, with all the guest suites benefiting from full height windows, allowing for plenty of light to penetrate the interior areas and provide fabulous views.
The main saloon also offers fantastic panoramic views, thanks to the use of full-height windows that wrap around the saloon, as well as the well-detailed glass bulwarks at the side. Comparable intricate detailing has been completed for all the overhang aft railing on the rest of the decks.
The lower deck features the crew quarters, including crew accommodation, main galley and storage forward, in addition to the engine room and the tender garage aft. The elegant beach club at sea level together with a fully-equipped gymnasium have been designed for optimal access to the water activities, relaxation and fitness training, each maintaining the same high levels of comfort and flexibility, as found throughout the rest of the vessel.
The new 60-metre SAMURAI by Alia Yachts offers a great selection of luxury amenities on board, including a custom-built 7-metre Smuggler tender, as well as a 6,3-metre Smuggler tender. She has been fitted with two MTU 16V4000 M73L engines of 2,880 kW each, allowing her to reach a maximum speed of 21 knows and a range of 4,250 nautical miles.
