Itineraries
Expedition itineraries have been carefully planned by the team including experienced ice pilot and Captain Sophie Galvagnon.
Svalbard: March – August

As you navigate these icy waters, home of the Eastern Inuits—a nomadic community eager to share their rich traditions, you will get a unique glimpse into their way of life in this remote Arctic wonderland.
Northern Norway: November – February
Explore the gateway to the Arctic, where polar adventures come to life. Observe the mesmerizing Aurora Borealis over stunning fjords and connect with the spirit of legendary polar explorers. Embark on hikes, dives, cold-water surfing, and Viking walks that will leave you in awe of this wild, untamed landscape.
Selar Team
Eco-conscious yachts are the future of the charter industry and will enable sustainable exploration throughout vulnerable regions of the planet. The team behind the yacht’s development and ethos are a crew of adventurers and entrepreneurs who have worked tirelessly with architects, designers, engineers, builders, polar explorers and expedition leads to challenge the norms of Arctic exploration.
“Bound by heart and courage, we embarked on the adventure of becoming a new-generation shipowner,” commented Sophie Galvagnon. “Our future solution draws inspiration from our pioneering ancestors who explored the world by sail. Leveraging advanced technology, we harness natural resources like sun, water, and wood. Selar strikes a balance between technology, innovation, and exploration.”
The team also plan to support scientific research, regenerate local ecosystems and creatively document the landscape.
“In every aspect of our expeditions, we dedicate time and resources for our vessel to be truly useful. Our year-round presence in the Arctic enables us to create long-term partnerships and actions with local institutes.”
