German superyacht builder Nobiskrug launched their 73.55m new build motor yacht Sapphire yesterday. The 73.55-meter superyacht Sapphire (hull number 781) was launched at the yard after having her scaffolding removed and was moved along side the Nobiskrug Yard for final work before the yacht is delivered to her owners in March 2011.
M/Y Sapphire received interior and exterior design by Newcruise Yacht Projects of Hamburg with build management by Kristal Walters. She will be able to accommodate 12 guests in six luxurious staterooms. Sapphire offers several contemporary living areas for guests to enjoy such as a spacious skylounge and cinema, main salon and dining room.
Important features onboard Sapphire include a touch and go helipad on the aft deck, and a round and hydraulically retractable helipad . Her expansive decks offer generous entertaining and relaxation areas, and features a large Spa Pool and bar forward and a raised sunbathing area aft. Steps curve down either side of the superyacht Sapphire to a large aft swim platform that is ideal for sunbathing or water sports.
Sapphire yacht is built in steel and aluminium, boasts zero speed stabilisers and is powered by twin 2,360hp MTU engines propelling her to a maximum speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots with a range of around 5,000 nautical miles.
Luxury yacht Sapphire is the sister ship to superyacht SIREN launched by Nobiskrug in 2008. Yacht SIREN received exterior and interior design by Newcruise, accommodates 12 guests and features a hydraulically folding touch-and-go helipad on her aft main deck like her newer sister ship Sapphire.
