The magnificent 77.4-metre mega yacht LEGEND hit the water last night at Icon Yachts in Harlingen Holland. With naval architecture and exterior styling by Diana Yacht Design, and interiors by Thom Beerens and Jan Verkerk, LEGEND represents a very powerful expedition vessel, which was extensively refitted and renovated.

Originally built in 1973, the yacht was transformed into an icebreaking passenger ship with a 1B-Swedish / Finish classification. She was also lengthened in the stern by 3,60 metres, entirely restyled, including a superstructure extension and mast rebuild, now boasting a sleeker and more attractive appearance for her future charter guests.

Additional deck space was created in order to offer more areas to unwind and enjoy the environment. Heavy cranes were fitted in order to lift the water toys, tenders and equipment imaginable. The aft deck was converted into a fully-classified helicopter deck.

LEGEND is fully Lloyd0s and SOLAS certified, boasting a stunning dark hull which makes her stand out in the arctic areas.
LEGEND is able to offer utmost comfort and luxury for up to 30 guests on a yacht charter. She is fully Lloyd’s classified Class, 1B icebreaking ship, able to cruise all destinations around the world, including such remote and breath-taking places as the Antarctic and the North Pole in complete safety.

One of the stand-out features is her swim platform and a large swimming pool/Jacuzzi. In addition, she has a luxurious submarine for underwater exploration.
The main deck has an al fresco dining possibility with a large dining table on the aft deck. The interior areas boast a large more formal dining area, a bar as well as seating for social gatherings. The fitness room, movie theatre, medical suite and spacious guest cabins complete the outstanding facilities offered on board.

Vast lounging and sunbathing area are offered by the boat deck, together with a bat and a barbecue area. On the inside, there are a number of areas to relax as well as music corner with a Grand piano and other music instruments for live music. The rest of this deck is dedicated to guest suites.
The Owner’s deck features the commercially certified helicopter landing pad on the aft deck. The huge master suite, located forward, boasts a king-sized bed, a settee sofa, a bar and spacious and luxurious en-suite bathroom facilities with a spa pool tub, a shower, toilet and hand basin.
