Superyacht GENESIS, the 80.07m (262’8″) full custom motor yacht from Heesen has been delivered to her new owners. She represents a collaboration between Van Oossanen Naval Architects, Winch Design and Sinot Yacht Architecture and Design.
At the time of her launch, CEO of Heesen Yachts Arthur Brouwer commented on the project stating, “She is unique not only for our shipyard, she is the largest we have ever taken on and represents the pinnacle of our achievements to date”.
Winch Design had a clear vision and wanted to, “retain Heesen’s sporty DNA but blend it with an innovative, futuristic spin. Curved glass forms smooth, sculpted shapes, creating a feeling of slick, contemporary charm”.
Key features across her abundance of outdoor space include a beach club, glass-bottomed swimming pool and extensive bow with touch-and-go helipad which doubles as an open-air cinema. She can accommodate up to 12 guests in six beautiful staterooms plus additional cabins for 19 crew members.
Performance comes from four MTU engines giving a top speed of 29 knots.
Heesen announced her delivery with the following best wishes, “Everyone at Heesen is delighted to see the shipyard’s flagship sailing away and wishes her owners and their crew fair winds and following seas.”
