Italian shipbuilders Otam have announced the sale of the very first unit in the 85 GTS series, only a month after the design was unveiled.
Inspired by supercars, the profile of the Otam 85 GTS was what first attracted her new owner, who asked for a customised classic open version. His design team will be working with the Otam team to fully personalise the interior styling and technical systems for performance.
The 26m/85ft model will use a deep V-hull for maximum stability and comfort while cruising at high speed even in moderate sea conditions.
Owners have the choice of two engine configurations: A pair of 2,600 HP MTU 16Vs producing up to 45 knots and a cruising speed of 35-knots, or two 1,925 HP CAT C32s for a maximum speed of 38 knots and a cruising speed of 32 knots.
The interior layout allows for three-to-four staterooms with room outside for a spacious sunpad on the foredeck and integrated seating or sun loungers to the aft. More details will be revealed as each custom yacht develops.
