Turquoise Yachts are pleased to announced that they have completed the refit of the 95-metre INDIAN EMPRESS mega yacht in record time. The yacht was constructed by Oceanco with launch in 2000, and went through a comprehensive refit costing 6,4 million euros at the Turkish shipyard Turquoise Yachts in at Pendenik in Istanbul.
INDIAN EMPRESS was originally built for a member of the royal Qatari family and purchased by her current Owner in 2006. In addition to being extensively used by the Owner for private cruising, she is also an outstanding and sought-after charter yacht.
2014 saw Mark Berryman Design studio completely reinvent her interior, creating a more contemporary ambience on board. The comprehensive work brief requested a very short turn around time frame. The Owner’s team put great trust into Turquoise Yachts in completing the work on time. The shipyard offer not only its expertise and experience in the industry, they were also able to provide speed and flexibility during the refit.
INDIAN EMPRESS has been selected as one of the 2016 finalists in “The World Superyacht Awards” in the “Refited, Rebuilt and Converted” award category. The winners of the awards will be announced on May 14th in Florence, Italy, ruling the gala ceremony.
