Megayacht MADSUMMER (ex Project Fiji) has been delivered after successfully completing her sea trials and three months ahead of her scheduled delivery. She is now on her way to the Mediterranean via the port of Gibraltar. The German shipyard Lürssen is extremely pleased to have delivered yet another spectacular yacht – after Flying Fox and Tis the third yacht in 2019.
Peter Lürssen comments: “The Owner’s brief was demanding, however, we believe our engineering expertise has surpassed his wishes to own a yacht that many years from now will be timeless and yet still ahead of its time. Our thanks go, of course, to good design and communications with the designers of the exterior, Harrison Eidsgaard and Laura Sessa respectively for the interior as well as to Moran Yacht & Ship and the owner’s captain who supervised the build on behalf of the Owner.”
MADSUMMER was sold back in 2016 and launched in March 2019. Her classic exterior design with crisp lines was designed by Harrison Eidsgaard, while Laura Sessa worked on the contemporary style of the interiors.
The yacht is capable of carrying a helicopter on the foredeck, which is a fantastic feature in addition to her worldwide cruising capabilities. Among her luxury amenities are a 12-metre pool, massive spa and even diving areas. A beach club, which is nowadays is an absolute must-have on large superyachts, includes a sea terrace for the outstanding experience at sea.
Accommodation onboard is provided across ten opulent staterooms for up to 20 guests.
Madsummer will be presented at the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2019 where she will be one of the largest yachts on display at the show.
