Construction of the third 65m Classic Yacht C04 (hull number) of the custom Classic Collection of Columbus Yachts commenced with the keel laid in the Palumbo S.p.A. yard. A very simple ceremony accompanied the event, that took place yesterday, in Naples. With naval architecture and design by Sergio Cutolo’s Hydro Tec, the 65m superyacht Hull C04 is the largest currently under build.

Constructed in steel and aluminium on a tried and tested platform, she will be powered by twin engines giving a top speed of 16.5 knots and a cruising speed of 15.5 knots with a range of 5,000 miles at 13 knots. At 1,850 GT with a beam of 12.8m, the 65m Custom Classic can accommodate 12 guests in fours staterooms, one full-beam VIP and the rear-facing owner’s suite on the upper deck with its own private deck-space. She can house up to 18 crew.

The elegant and streamlined exterior lines blend seamlessly with spacious, airy interiors. Volumes are generous with ample headroom. Exceptional deck-space provides numerous options for entertaining and outdoor living, including on oversize Spa Pool and the bridge deck which doubles as a helipad. Special features include zero speed stabilisers, a cinema and a large spa with direct access to the beach club. All decks can be reached by a guest elevator and the yacht carries three tenders.
In addition to complying with new ILO standards, the 65m Custom Classic Hull C04 yacht includes numerous sustainable solutions developed in compliance with leading classification society’s eco-friendly recommendations. Delivery is scheduled for 2015.
