The highly anticipated 13th annual Yachtmaster event ended on February 28th. Destined for the Captains of the Benetti/Azimut fleet of more than 100′ yachts, this edition also celebrated the 140th anniversary of the Benetti yard (1873 – 2013), and chose Leghorn as the natural venue for the event.
Three intense days of meetings, round tables, workshops and team-building where the Captains, together with Azimut, Benetti and Yachtique (the Group’s business line dedicated to services) top management, technicians and sales personnel were able to master the great number of themes necessary for successful mega-yacht management.
As always, numerous marine industry experts and international journalists also participated in the three day event.
This edition of Yachtmaster began with the welcome speech given by top management in the outfitting area for the 90 meter yacht under construction at the yard. The presentation of the Benetti Sales and Service Department and the new “Client Driven Quality” project, oriented towards structured listening and the gathering of feedback by captains, owners and brokers, followed. The more than one hundred participants then concentrated on specific themes dealing with “Warranty” and “Lifetime Customer Care”.
As is usual at the Yachtmaster event, time for relaxing, fun, and team competitions wasn’t lacking. This year the “Master Chef” tv study was recreated: the captains spent an afternoon preparing gourmet dishes, and their culinary efforts were then judged by a jury made up of the numerous international journalists present.
Partners of the 13th edition: A/SEA Power System, Boero, CGT/Caterpillar, Dockwise, Fraser Yachts, ISS Global Marine Travel, Marina Casa de Campo, Naiad Dynamics, Open System, Team Italia, Lusben, Rina, Sosema/Shore Crew e Yachtique.
Next year’s Yachtmaster has already been scheduled, but as always the location and topics of the event will be unveiled only a few months before the next edition.
