Sailing Yacht Blues was launched in June 2010 and then underwent successful sea trials off Cape Town. Superyacht BLUES, the second SW 100 Raised Saloon hull to be built at Southern Wind Shipyard, has now been delivered to the yacht owner. The first Southern Wind 100 raised saloon yacht launched by the composite sailing yacht builder was named Mrs Seven.
S/Y Blues is around 100 ft or 30.2 metres in length and the yacht was designed by the Farr and Nauta design collaboration. Her composite construction is light weight, being made up of Carbon fibre, Kevlar and Epoxy resin sandwich and accordingly the yacht has impressed many with her sailing performance.
