In preparation for the redevelopment of the current exhibition centre, this year’s Sydney International Boat Show is planning to mark its 25th anniversary at Darling Harbour with what is expected to be one of the best shows on record. The event will run from August 1 to 5, 2013.
With education and entertainment at the forefront of the planning, the line-up of things to see and do for visitors will be a fascinating addition to all the marvellous boats, products and gear for them that the event traditionally serves up.
But the show won’t be away from Darling Harbour for long with its Marina display remaining exactly where it is during the development period and the hall exhibits going just around the corner to a great interim facility at Glebe Island.
All this in preparation for 2017 when the venue will reopen its doors as one of the world’s leading exhibition venues. All this in time for the Sydney International Boat Show to celebrate its 50th event in 2017 at the new venue.
The 2013 Sydney International Boat Show, owned and organised by the Boating Industry Association of NSW, will operate from 10am to 8pm daily within the halls and 10am to 6pm on the marina.
