This summer saw the Mulder 92 Flybridge motor yacht “Mimi” sail from Port Said in Egypt to the popular Mediterranean yacht charter destination – Barcelona in Spain. The Mulder flagship, superyacht Mimi left with full tanks, with a total of 18,000 liters of fuel, and sailed from Egypt through the Suez Canal, Crete and Sardinia to Barcelona.
The 28 meters long Mimi yacht traveled 1600 nautical miles at an average speed of 12 knots. After a stop in Barcelona, this all-aluminium yacht sailed to Mallorca, another 130 miles further.
Luxury yacht “Mimi” sailed a total of 1730 nautical miles on 12,000 liters of fuel.
“I believe that our fuel capacity would have allowed us to travel all the way to Gibraltar if that would have been our destination”, thus the captain.
