Horizon Group is delighted to announce the recent launch as well as sea trial of motor yacht Andrea VI, hull one of the new RP110 raised pilothouse model. Superyacht Andrea VI is due to be delivered to her second-time U.S. Horizon owner this October and will make her world premiere at the Horizon Yacht USA display (F dock, slips 600-604) during this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), running from October 31st to November 4th.
Horizon Group CEO, John Lu stated, “We are extremely happy that the first Horizon RP110 was completed and launched on schedule – a feat that can no doubt be attributed to the cooperation between her knowledgeable owner and the dedicated shipyard crews. Horizon is looking forward to the RP110’s upcoming debut at Fort Lauderdale, where we expect her to be the talk of the show.”
The RP110 luxury yacht Andrea VI’s exterior styling, designed by J.C. Espinosa, focuses on providing unobstructed views with large, sweeping windows that combine with fluid style lines to create a sleek and modern profile – a trait of the Horizon RP series yachts.
Donald Blount and Associates worked together with Horizon’s design team for two years on the double-chine hull design, which was adopted because of two significant features: low resistance at low speed and high dynamic stability at high speed.
Propellers housed in tunnels provide balance between the RP110’s trim and shallow 6-foot draft, and she offered a stable, comfortable ride during a recent sea trial with her owner and captain on board.
Powered by twin CAT C32A 1900HP engines, Andrea VI yacht cruises at 18 knots and has a top speed of 22 knots, and she is equipped with the Octoplex yacht monitoring system; bow and stern thrusters; digital stabilizers; 1400GPD watermaker; and Hamann sanitary treatment system.
Luxury yacht Andrea VI features a 25’ beam, allowing for generous living and entertaining spaces throughout the superyacht. The main deck incorporates an expansive main salon with wet bar; formal dining for 10; large galley and pantry; and forward country kitchen; below deck are four guest staterooms – a full beam Master, port and starboard queen guests, and VIP in the bow – as well as crew quarters and mess aft of the engines. Interior décor for Andrea VI was completed by Marty Lowe of Marty Lowe, Inc., at the request of the owners, and concentrates on “livable luxury.”
Lowe comments, “The lines of the Horizon RP110 have been complemented by the sophisticated décor, which features a balanced mixture of contemporary styling and naturally luxurious materials.”
The Horizon RP110 raised pilothouse model has already proven successful on a global scale, with two additional new-build orders have been placed for hull two and hull three by Australian and Japanese clients respectively, and hull four will feature the standard layout: a tender garage aft and on-deck master forward on the main deck.
After showcasing at FLIBS, Andrea VI yacht will begin preparations for her first trip with the owners – they plan to cruise the Caribbean with family and friends for the remainder of the winter season.
