The Spanish design studio, Barracuda Yacht Design, has unveiled its latest 50-metre motor yacht B165 concept at the currently running Monaco Yacht Show. The all-new superyacht B165 concept by Barracuda embodies balance and restraint, mixed up with a number of practical layout innovations, encapsulated within a slender as well as efficient hull.
With their latest B165 yacht concept, Barracuda wanted to avoid short-term fashion and unnecessary excess and the studio’s intention was to present a highly attractive, yet understated design, which has an almost ‘military-esque’ feel about it.
In a change from the norm, guest rooms are located on the main deck avoiding the thought of having to climb up and down stairs all day long to reach the main living areas. Large ‘seascape-style’ windows ensure guest rooms benefit from plenty of natural light. One windows set per room can be lowered fully to provide amazing balcony vistas for those inside. The owner’s suite is located exclusively on the upper deck and comprises a large bedroom, separate walk-in wardrobe, bathroom and vanity area and an aft-deck of the utmost privacy.
On the lower deck, a combined Beach Club/Gym benefits from almost 180° views and also has large side openings that double as windows when closed. This idea will avoid the often dark & gloomy ‘cave effect’ that other beach clubs suffer from.
