Classen Shipyards has just released a video from the construction of the new Truly Classic 126 sailing yacht TC126, which is progressing well at the prominent Dutch shipyard. Destined for a repeat client, the 38-metre superyacht TC 126 has been beautifully penned by Hoek Design. Her delivery is scheduled for 2015.
Construction of the hull at Bloemsma in Makkum began last summer and the magnificent aluminium structure was turned a few weeks ago. The next stage will see the hull transported to the yard in Zaandam where work will continue apace on outfitting.
Claasen Shipyards has built many Truly Classics over the years, all designed by Hoek Naval Architects and featuring a unique combination of classic lines and advanced technologies. The new luxury yacht TC 126 will be the largest in the range. Claasen Shipyards is building her in accordance with MCA LY2 regulations so the yacht can feature in competitive sailing races as well as be used privately and for a luxury yacht charter.
The deck layout is based on the successful concept of a private owner’s cockpit aft and a guest cockpit and deckhouse amidships. Below decks her classic interior will have walls and are made of Sweatania mahogany, while the floor borders are accentuated with maple inlay. The cabin ceilings will be finished in white to increase the sense of spaciousness. The combination of fine materials and finish will create a serene ambiance for owner and crew alike.
