Thanks to the sale of its superb pink Turbojet 325 superyacht tender, Williams Performance Tenders has helped to raise an amazing £18,000 for Breast Cancer Care’s FAB1 Million campaign.
Launched on behalf of the charity at this year’s London Boat Show by broadcaster Suzi Perry, the bright pink tender was put up for auction to raise funds for the vital support services provided by Breast Cancer Care. The one-of-a-kind tender, with its eye-catching bespoke colour scheme, was eventually sold for an amazing £18,000, and was collected from the factory last week by its new owner John Chartres.
The FAB1 Million project is centred around the famous pink Rolls Royce Ghost, and is aiming to raise £1 million through various initiatives, including hiring the famous car. Williams was inspired to create its very own pink tender to assist the campaign, with many suppliers also providing their time and materials free of charge.
Mathew Hornsby, Sales Director at Williams, commented: “We were delighted to welcome John to the factory to collect his brand new one-of-a-kind tender. It has been amazing to see the support and generosity the tender has attracted, and to be able to be involved in raising money for such a good cause. I’d like to thank everyone who placed a bid, and our thanks also go to all our suppliers who helped make it happen.”
Suzi Perry, who launched the auction on behalf of Breast Cancer Care at the London Boat Show added: “It’s absolutely fantastic news to see the wonderfully Pink FAB1 Million Williams Tender was sold for £18,000, this will go towards providing vital support and information to people affected by breast cancer. I hope John enjoys taking this FABulous boat on the water knowing just how valuable his contribution will be.”
