Nestled in the popular Eastern Mediterranean yacht charter destination – Greece, Athens Marina has recently joined the Camper & Nicholsons Marinas’ new initiative ‘the 1782 Club’. The pioneering marina club programme has been created to promote an exclusive group of independently owned and operated luxury yacht marinas, in collaboration with the world’s oldest and most prominent yachting brand.
Kurt Fraser, Sales & Marketing Director for C&N Marinas, said, “We are delighted that Athens Marina has joined the Camper & Nicholsons Marinas network and will benefit from the many advantages the 1782 Club provides. This is an outstanding facility, ideally located at the heart of yachting in Greece. Of particular interest to our clientele, is that the marina is a completely private enclave compared to other local berthing options, offering yacht owners absolute discretion.”
Conveniently located on the Athens waterfront of Faliro Bay, Athens Marina is a five minute drive to the ancient city centre and thirty minutes from the international airport. More than 3,000 islands await exploration, with the Cyclades and Saronic islands within a comfortable cruising distance. The facility, formerly known as Faliro Marina, was constructed in 2004 to accommodate the needs of VIP visiting yachts for the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. It has regularly hosted many of the world’s finest superyachts in its ten years of operation – in particular, those that value its exclusivity.
Stavros Karnakis, General Manager of Athens Marina, added, “Athens Marina is happy to be the first superyacht marina in Greece to join Camper & Nicholsons’ 1782 Club. As an exclusive private facility for superyachts cruising in Greek waters, our top priority is on providing our clientele with impeccable service, in a quiet and secure environment, that ensures privacy for yacht owners and VIP guests.”
Athens Marina features a large seafront entrance for easy access and 24/7 berthing assistance. Designed to accommodate up to 130 yachts from 16m to 130m, this includes 25 new berths for yachts up to 35m, 15 berths for yachts up to 130m, including a rare 180m alongside berth. A single secure entry/exit point with spacious berth-side parking and on-site helicopter pad allow for easy and convenient access to and from the marina.
