Princess Yachts South China has been announced as one of the main sponsors of the GREAT Nations’ Cup 2014 at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club. The striking Princess 32M Class yacht will be moored in Victoria Harbour, as part of a Black Tie Gala Dinner, set to take place on Friday, March 7.
Often referred as sailing’s version of the (Hong Kong) Rugby Sevens, with sailors dressing up in outrageous fancy dress, the GREAT Nations’ Cup will feature boats representing more than 18 nations in a pursuit race in Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour and Eastern Approaches on Saturday 8 March.
Sailors will race for the Vic Locke Memorial Trophy and the right to display their national flag in the Club’s Main Bar.
“Princess Yachts are honoured to be one of the main sponsors of the Great Nations’ Cup 2014 and we wish all entrants in the race the very best of luck!” said Sean Stratton, General Manager, Asia Pacific Region, Princess Yachts International.
Torrey Dorsey, Corporate & International Partnerships Manager at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club said, “Princess Yachts is a very welcome addition to the list of sponsors and supporters of the GREAT Nations’ Cup 2014. Not only does Princess represent quality British craftsmanship and design, but their commitment to excellence is also consistent with our Club ambitions. This partnership is sure to be a success for Princess Yachts, the Club and all of the invited guests that get the opportunity to view this magnificent boat on display during the Gala Dinner.”
