The new 60m Mondo Marine superyacht Sarastar (M60) is a vessel with lines equally sportive and elegant, with both hull and superstructure all in aluminium and designed to reach a speed of over 21 knots and with a full beam of 10.50m. This feature turns her to be among the few ones on the panorama of yachts with such high level of speed and comfort, similar to a sporty Granturismo.
The merger of Mondo Marine philosophy and the new vision of the designer Luca Dini combined to an accurate choice of material, care for details and a new project approach have originated a new series of fast boats suitable for those owners in search of high performance without compromising comfort, internal space and excellent quality. This is the first of a series of boats that complete the new Mondo Marine range from 41,50m to 64m. All of them share not only the same style but also a particularly accurate choice of materials and an innovative project approach.
The main characteristics of the 60m luxury yacht Sarastar (M60) beyond the hull stylistic design, are: a specific arrangement of the interior with 5 guest cabins on the Lower Deck, the Owner’s cabin on the fore side of the Main Deck the size of a proper apartment and the full beam Sky-lounge on the Upper Deck of an unusually big size due to placing the fifth cabin elsewhere. A particular attention has been reserved to the crew quarters which under the latest regulations offer space and comfort almost like guest cabins. There will also be new technology audio-video equipment chosen among the most advanced in the market, with the only aim of turning every area and moment aboard into a special one and transforming into particularly unique any ordinary living on board through the big scenographic effects produced by led.
Just like all the most recent yachts of the shipyard, the structural, hydrodynamic and technical aspects also of the 60 Meter Semi-Displacement yacht Sarastar (M60) have been studied by Mondo Marine Engineering.
The project was first unveiled at the last Monaco Yacht Show. Delivery is planned for Summer 2015.
Originally as shipbuilder and repairer since 1915, Campanella shipyard (as Mondo Marine was then known) achieved success with a team of highly dedicated professionals at any level. In 1975 Campanella designed, built and delivered the 48 m. M/Y MOHAMEDIA awarded the same year as best built motor-yacht classed Lloyd’s Register. The yacht was owned by the Arab millionaire Adan Kashoggi, the wealthiest men in the world at that time.
This great achievement gained a major annotation within the history of Italian shipyards, also thanks to the ship’s technical and stylistic features turning her into a true innovation icon among luxury megayachts.
In 1978 Mondo Group founded Mondo Marine. Started off in Alba with mid-sized yachts, in the early nineties the production changed to custom-made steel and aluminium alloy yachts over the 40 m. length and was first moved to Genoa and subsequently to the current Savona location (former Campanella’s Shipyard).
In the first half of 2013 Mondo Marine S.P.A. was taken over by Mr. Alessandro Falciai and Mr. Roberto Zambrini who officially sealed the acquisition of the company’s brand and production site on May 30, 2013. All Mondo Marine vessels are designed, engineered and built at the production site in Savona.
62 are the units built so far by Mondo Marine in addition to the number previously reached by Campanella Shipyard. One example is the stellar charter yacht TRIBU’, the first yacht to be awarded Green Star certification by RINA, showing her owner’s environmental commitment through a series of technical criteria.
Mondo Marine offers a full-cycle production, right from the cutting of the hull steel sheets, and each detail of its luxury yachts exports worldwide the company’s commitment to excellence combined to Italian skills and talent.
The Italian shipyard, member of SYBAss (Superyacht Builder Association) right after recently opened Mondo Marine MC office in the Principality of Monaco, Mondo Marine made its moves to China market deciding to invest and become Shareholder in Sease Yachting Co., Ltd. to produce Mondo Marine fiber glass yachts dedicated for Chinese market.
