Philip Marsh has been promoted to Managing Director at Chatham Marine, the family run marine clothing and footwear company.
The former footwear developer for Lacoste, was appointed Marketing Director for Chatham in 2008 and has helped grow the business by 42% in the past year. Marsh’s new role will see him responsible for the overall profitability of the brand, guiding the strategic direction for further growth of the business. He will continue to be hands-on in the development and design of Chatham’s seasonal collections.
Marsh says, “I am looking forward to the challenges ahead. I want to expand overseas and maintain the top-quality levels we have established in the UK, France, Spain, Germany and more recently Mallorca. I am excited about our new spring/summer 2011 collection. We have new styles and innovations across our three footwear ranges and great new fabrics and styling in our Cruise and Classic clothing lines.”
Prior to joining Chatham, Philip worked as Key Accounts Manager for Zapato Footwear and Assistant Manager at Oliver Sweeney’s at its flagship King’s Road store in London.
