BMT Nigel Gee, a subsidiary of the BMT Group, is proud to announce that Sunreef Yachts has added its 40 metre catamaran design into its portfolio. The new Sunreef Yachts adopted 40m yacht design was developed by BMT Nigel Gee in collaboration with Design Unlimited. Sunreef will have exclusive rights to market and build the yacht under the Sunreef Yachts brand.

Arising from a speculative collaboration this remarkable 40-metre catamaran brings together BMT’s extensive experience in the naval architecture and engineering of high speed catamarans with the versatile interior and exterior design skills of Design Unlimited. This team is now further strengthened with the addition of the world’s leading builder of catamaran yachts – Sunreef Yachts.

Founded in 2000 by French father and son entrepreneurs Francis and Nicolas Lapp, Sunreef Yachts has since launched more than 50 yachts from its facilities in the famous seafaring city of Gdansk, Poland.

On signing the agreement James Roy, Yacht Design Director at BMT Nigel Gee said, “This is a significant step in the realization of this exciting design, we see Sunreef Yachts as the leading brand in the field of catamaran yachts”.

The 500 GRT design is offered with a number of propulsion options, depending on the required performance, and in each case features a proven hull form from BMT’s comprehensive portfolio of catamaran designs which spans some 23 years of design experience and features some of the world’s most technologically advanced multihulls.
