Selene Yachts hosted their second Selene Yachts Rendezvous over the weekend. The event took place in the beautiful surroundings of the island of Krk, a fabulous Croatia yacht charter destination, positioned in the popular Eastern Mediterranean.
Friday evening, 27 June, saw Selene Trawlers and their owners from around the world gather in the wonderful Marina Punat. They were joined at the opening party by potential clients, Selene dealers, ten international journalists, marina staff and friends & family of Selene owners in the marina restaurant for a delicious meal of local specialties.
On Saturday the participants have enjoyed a range of presentations based on practical everyday issues that sailors face. These included fire protection onboard, fuel treatment, water treatment, engine maintenance, and a presentation on luxury bed linen by Slovenian company Home Yacht.
Lunch was served in the restaurant of the lovely marina hotel Kanajt, after which Selene owners, Mr and Mrs Morthland and Mr and Mrs Bouvier gave presentations on their cruising experiences in British Colombia and New Caledonia respectively.
On Saturday evening there was another dinner in the restaurant of Marina Punat with live music and entertainment. On Sunday, June 29, the marina staff gave a tour over their premises and the associated shipyard. A presentation informed Selene owners, visitors and journalists about the various services they offer in this increasingly popular sailing area.
Lunch was followed by a tour onboard a number of Selene yachts on the Adriatic Sea. After one final dinner together to round the weekend off, the participants were able to reflect on another successful, informative and – above all – fun Rendezvous.
