Heesen Yachts announced the sale of a new, innovative Heesen 65 m motoryacht at the currently ongoing Monaco Yacht Show. This 65m superyacht is all-aluminium, based on the Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) and she is the 6th motor yacht order received by Heesen in 2010. She was designed by Van Oossanen & Associates Naval Architects representing a unique, state-of-the-art concept, which intensifies the overall performance of the yacht.
FDHF tank tests have shown to boost the efficiency of the vessel by 30%, when compared to a traditional hard chine and round bulge hulls. The slender line and special form of the hull result in a very low wave profile over the entire speed range, while also improving its sea-keeping and manoeuvrability. As a result, it has a very positive impact on the cost of running the vessel, while also lowering its environmental impact in terms of engine emissions.
The Heesen 65m superyacht’s exterior was designed by Dutch designer Frank Laupman of Omega Architects. Heesen Yachts’ style is perfectly reflected by the designers, with added invigorating appearance of a racing car. One of the most important design features is the touch-and-go helipad forward and a semi-shaded area surrounding the swimming pool on the main deck.
On the lower deck of the new Heesen 65m Yacht, the guests can find a vast beach club area, including a bar, sauna and hammam. Furthermore there is a side balcony, which opens from the hull to the port side, providing the owner and guests with a closer connection to the sea. This superyacht is ABS classed and MCA compliant.
The 65m Heesen MotorYacht will provide accommodation of 12 guests in 6 cabins.
