Recognising that the service provided to the commercial shipping industry could benefit superyacht owners, in 2005 Kelvin Hughes Ltd formed a separate super yacht team.  More recently the team has been undergoing further change in a quest to provide each individual vessel a dedicated service.  Part of the change is to give the super yacht team its own identity.

Now to be known as KH SuperYacht Services (KHSS), the structure of the team will allow greater focus to be placed on specific services and customer support, something for which Kelvin Hughes has become well known for within the super yacht industry.  Part of this is providing a personal and knowledgeable navigation and compliance service to Captains and Navigating Officers.

Terry Smallwood, Manager of KHSS is proud of what his team can now offer, “We are well known in the industry and we fully believe in striking up a personal relationship with our customers, which is something they value.  Being part of Kelvin Hughes we are in a unique position of being able to offer large company products and services with small company attention to detail.  However the market is constantly evolving and the regulations can be complicated and difficult to follow.  To that end we are also pleased to announce the launch of our new website www.khsuperyacht.com which we will be developing to become the SuperYacht portal.  Mind you it will not replace the personalised customer service that we are known for!” 

Over the next few months KHSS will be introducing a range of new products and services enhancing the relationship that is present with existing customers while fully intending to attract new customers.  The new team will be made very accessible to the market with team members visiting both builders and refit yards, as well as fully immersing themselves in the popular Superyacht ports and cruising areas.

KH SuperYacht Services (KHSS) will also be heavily involved in industry events activity and will be attending major shows such as, the London Boat Show, Monaco Yacht Show, Genoa, METS (Amsterdam), Ft Lauderdale, Seatec and Antibes.  Trips are also planned in conjunction with the British Marine Federation, making the Team available for consultation and recommendation.
