Horizon Yachts is thrilled to announce the launch and delivery of the first V80 motor yacht ‘The One’. Luxury superyacht ‘The One’ was handed over to a new owner in Taiwan at the end of last month.

“The launch of ‘The One’ marks two milestones for us – she is not only hull one of the new Horizon V80 model but also the first over 24m large private yacht Horizon had delivered to a Taiwan owner,” says Horizon Group CEO John Lu.

The Horizon V80 cockpit luxury yacht The One was reimagined from the V74 model after listening to client feedback; Horizon increased interior volume and added a variety of amenities and features, such as the ability to accommodate three or four spacious ensuite staterooms and an internal stairwell from the salon to crew. On the exterior, Horizon incorporated a U-shaped settee for 8 persons and dual sunpads in the foredeck, with the option for a Bimini top if desired, and the crew quarters also saw an increase in space.

Horizon’s ability to customize a yacht is one of the main reasons the owner chose to build with Horizon, and he visited the shipyard and met with the in-house designers many times, both before signing the contract and during the build of the V80 motor yacht The One. “The owner is confident in Horizon’s quality and after sales service and expressed he firmly believes Horizon was the only choice for his first luxury yacht,” says Lu.

Built for first-time yacht owner, “The One” features a number of custom items requested by the owner: a three stateroom layout below deck, with an oversize master; a mahjong area forward of the salon on the main deck; and the galley aft of the engines in lieu of a crew area. The owner liked the V80’s quality, design and performance, and the 20’6” beam also provided a functional space for his family, entertaining guests and business demands. Equipped with twin MAN V12 1360HP engines, “The One” yacht cruises at 20.6 knots and tops out at 24.2 knots.

After taking delivery of his new Horizon V80 motor yacht The One, the owner plans to cruise around Taiwan before traveling to Ishigaki Island in Japan, Hong Kong and then Hainan Island in China.
