The stunning luxury sailing catamaran Blue Coast 95 was launched yesterday from the French H2X yach builder’s yard in La Ciotat.
The superyacht Blue Coast 95 was designed by Jean-Jacques Coste and she is the first maxi catamaran of the new Coste Design and Partners designed range. Blue Coast 95′ yacht measures 28.8 metres in LOA and has a beam of 12 metres. She is the fourth largest catamaran in the world to date.
Contemporary design, precious wooden, panoramic views, oversized spaces are all features created by the naval architect and designer Jean-Jaques Coste for the Blue Coast 95′ catamaran, creating a world class vessel that meets her guests’ pleasure, as well as the requirements of the crew.

Blue Coast 95′ has a retractable boom, which is unique for a vessel of her size, thanks to partnership specifically developed between H2X, Coste Design & Partners and the sail maker Petit Jean Composites. The luxury catamaran uses a sail plan with a 230 sqm main sail, a 115 sqm solent, a 280 sqm gennaker on a 110 ft pivoting mast.
The construction of this beautiful luxury sailing yacht began in July 2009. It started with the modeling of the project by the H2X design and engineering department and the construction of two composite hulls. The two hulls were then assembled in December. Since the beginning of 2010, partitions, systems and the floor have been laid. Then the fittings followed as well as the painting if the ship. The composite department added the roof vie the “one-shot” infusion process. This part has an area of 198 m2 and requires all the know-how and the experience of the H2X teams.
The Blue Coast 95 Catamaran offers accommodation for up to eight guest in four cabins, offering another cabin for a crew of 4 and is powered by 2x425hp Cummins QSB 5.9 engines to a maximum speed of 15 knots.
