Summer 2014 is marked by an amazing number of fit outs for the Lewmar custom team, with plenty of exciting projects under manufacture in the factory. These include the deck equipment for the 126’ Hoek classic yacht, as well as Holland Jachtbouw sailing yacht J8.
New 126 ft Hoek designed classic yacht, built by Claasen
Lewmar was selected to supply a full deck equipment package for the latest 126ft classic sailing yacht built by Claasen shipyards and project managed by MCM. With beautiful sleek lines, she will be a fast and classic yacht designed to unite high technology with nautical passion.
The Hoek 126ft superyacht TC126 will be fitted with a full set of Lewmar winches and deck hardware as well as a tailor-made Lewmar anchor windlass systems and thruster.
Latest J-class yacht built, Hoek design: J8
Another new and exciting project underway is the deck equipment for the new sailing yacht J8, Andre Hoek design. The latest J-class under construction by Holland Jachtbouw under the supervision of the owner’s Representative Jens Cornelson.
The custom design team developed a complete set of highly polished stainless steel deck hardware including a mainsheet below-deck sheeting system which consists of mainsheet blocks and special end-stops for a cleaner, sleeker look on deck. J8 yacht will also be fitted with state of the art genoa sliders, with plunger stopper and the possibility to add a towing eye to pull the slider forward.
In addition to its top quality design and engineering capabilities, Lewmar believe quality control and safety are major considerations while selecting deck equipment. As such, Lewmar have invested heavily in the testing and quality control of their products in order to deliver the safest, best engineered custom products.
