Dixon Yacht Designs has attended the recently concluded Monaco Yacht Show 2014. During the event, the studio unveiled their new 46m four deck explorer motor yacht concept. The modern 46m Dixon superyacht design evolved from the clients brief that called for a totally private suite on the upper deck, and all guest cabins on the main deck, in a sub 500GT design.
Intended for extended voyaging, the steel hull and aluminium superstructure design features large protected deck spaces, with an extensive aft deck designed for an overlarge tender.
With four decks the bridge has a commanding position on the upper deck, and on all decks there is separate crew and owner access, plus a small sky lounge behind the bridge. The owner’s deck features the owner’s bedroom facing forwards which opends out onto a private foredeck ,with a private lounge aft opening out on a private aft deck.
On the main deck, there are four guest cabins forward and saloon aft. Crew are located on the lower deck, together with the galley, with the main and upper deck serviced by separate pantries.
For a relatively compact vessel the 46m Dixon luxury yacht design offers unrivaled privacy and comfort.
