The well-organized Yacht CN 2014—3rd Nansha Bay International Boat Show opened its doors at Nansha Marina, a lovely China yacht charter destination, on Thursday, October 16, 2014. Known as one of the biggest in PRD region, the 2014 Yacht CN once again welcomed international and local brands as well as luxury yacht manufacturers to a four-day yachting fiesta.
Traditionally organized by Nansha Marina, Yacht CN 2014—Nansha Bay International Boat Show ran from 16th to 19th October, 2014. Since Yacht CN foundation in 2012, a wide range of world-known yacht brands have instantly been showing their strong support to the Show. Yacht CN 2014 attracted 48 exhibitors representing most of the renowned international and local yachting brands. A total of 40 boats/yachts were on display with some 10 thousand visitors/guests over the 4 days. According to the post show survey returns, 2 yachts were sold on site exceeding RMB 40 million. The exhibitors claim to have collected almost 100 potential clients during the show. Thanks to the Media Partners and Supporting Media efforts, the show was also widely reported by more than 50 Mass and industry Medias.
Except for the impressive line-up of finest yachts and boats by international and local brands, the visitors of this year’s Yacht CN had a chance to enjoy the exciting Moto Surf China Race, passionate samba dances, bikini model shows, international music band performances, and popular international DJ music on-site.
The Opening Ceremony impressed everybody with the mix of “contemporary and ancient” features; reviving the heritage of the “Maritime Silk Road”, the gorgeous “Pioneer”—the replica of an ancient Chinese sailboat—gracefully sailed into the marina basin accompanied by the sounds of the cannons specially fired in honor of the Opening Ceremony. Art exhibition dedicated to the images of the “Maritime Silk Road” also took place in the Banquet Hall of Nansha Marina. Paintings and artworks drawn with eco-paints by the students of Fok Ying Tung High School once again reminded the public about the rich historical heritage of Nansha Bay.
The Opening Ceremony was attended by a number of specially invited guests, among which were: Vice Governor of Guangdong province Ms. Zhao Yufang, Mexico’s Consul General Mr. David Najera, Fok Ying Tung Group Chairman Mr. Timothy Fok, Vice Mayor of Guangzhou city Mr. Wang Dong, Director of Tourism Administration of Guangdong Province Mr. Yang Rongsen, Director of Guangzhou Municipal Tourism Administration Mr. Zhu Li and others.
The 2nd China Yachting Conference ran concurrently with Yacht CN 2014—3rd Nansha Bay International Boat Show, on 17th-18th October, 2014. With almost 30 prominent Speakers from Europe, UK, Australia, USA, South-East Asia, HK and China, CYC 2014 has become the biggest international marine forum ever held in the region. A wide range of topics covered marina design, construction, operation, management and standards (Day 1), while Day 2 concentrated on Yachting industry issues: yacht design, purchase, insurance, yacht survey and maintenance, yacht licensing, operating regulations, port procedures and other regulatory policies. Such diversity of topics allowed to cover a wider yachting eco-system and was of a great interest to marina developers, builders, trade visitors, shipbuilders, yacht owners and others involved into Marine Industry.
