design et al are proud to announce that Mulder 94 Voyager motor yacht Project Firefly has been nominated for the International Yacht & Aviation Award 2015. Luxury superyacht Project Firefly by Mulder Shipyard in partnership with Vripack, RINA Yacht Classification, as well as Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, will compete in the ‘Yacht Concept up to 40 Metres’ category.
The Mulder 94 Voyager luxury yacht Project Firefly combines the canonical yacht forms with the latest technological content: modern classic in the original sense of the meaning. It’s a timeless, so called contemporary chic interior with a personal touch, where luxury and elegance can be found in every detail. It is the perfect blend of traditional Dutch yacht architecture, with a powerful elegancy and cutting edge technology.
The pedigree 94 Voyager yacht Project Firefly aimed to bridge a gap in the current market, offering clients many features usually restricted to larger yachts. She will appeal to an owner who appreciates timeless style over current fashion trends. Her dynamic lines emphasise her length while the softness of the yacht’s surfaces adds an extra air of class. Thanks to the generous length of 94 feet, the yacht’s proportions have been optimised and combined with maximum indoor and outdoor living space.
Mulder’s craftsmanship abounds throughout the main joinery, where brushed nickel lines are the main theme, resulting in beautiful and elegantly designed cabinets and walls. Luxurious fabrics of silk, wool and linen like Dedar, Pierre Frei, Elitis and Spinneybeck leather and wool-silk carpets of Tai Ping were used to bring about a sophisticated ambience of comfort and style. The entire custom-built interior consists of stained walnut. The dining area in the spacious saloon with its stunning Onyx Honey window columns accommodates eight people. This design enables the principle guest and their guests to enjoy sublimely apportioned public spaces decorated in a clean, crisp fashion, in unsurpassed luxury and volume for a yacht of this length.
With larger staterooms and communal spaces than many yachts of 10 meters increased length, and a best in class sun deck focused on entertaining, this design really does epitomise Dutch quality shipbuilding with modern elegance and design, delivering exceptional value and a feel of a much larger craft.
