Dutch shipyard, Contest Yachts, has recently launched their latest Contest 72CS yacht at the yard in Medemblik – the video from launch can be seen here. First introduced as the company’s flagship at the HISWA In-Water Boat Show 2012, sailing yacht Contest 72CS is a lovely 22-metre performance cruiser, setting new standards in terms of performance and comfort. She mixes up premium Dutch quality and superior looks.
The beautiful, contemporary interiors of luxury yacht Contest 72CS designed by Wetzels Brown Partners provide a generous master suite, fitted with a desk, two long sofas and a huge bathroom. The large galley, which can be found forward, is connected with the captain’s cabin as well as the captain’s lounge. There is also separate access to the cabin forward. The saloon features comfortable sofas and boasts a modern soft look and feel.
Contest 72CS yacht is a sleek bluewater cruiser, meeting the stringent quality demands of Lloyd’s certification. To save weight and add strength, Contest Yachts has deployed its industry-leading vacuum infusion system to produce both the hull and deck.
CONTEST YACHTS – A PASSION FOR YACHT BUILDING
Contest Yachts has been led by three generations of the Conijn family over the past half-century and more. The past decade has been marked by increasing innovation, including the delivery of the first mini-superyacht Contest 72CS. The company continues to meet client demands, while consistently retaining the image of quality and craftsmanship that has given the yard such global renown.
“Our current company philosophy is based on the key values Life. Style. Sailing,” says Director Arjen Conijn. “Performance and design have become vital focal points, while considerable attention is also paid to branding. While the quality of our product will always be our number one priority, brand association is increasingly important and we have addressed this issue head on. Good examples are the Contest Cup in Medemblik, Zeeland and Mallorca, events that are organised for Contest sailors each year.”
