Works on the new Tankoa S501 motor yacht Hull #1 are well underway at the Tankoa shipyard in Genoa, Italy. Measuring 50 meters in length, the first Tankoa S501 superyacht was officially unveiled at the 2014 Monaco Yacht Show.
Work in progress
As of late April 2015, the welding of the first Tankoa S501 main deck has been completed and three sections of the aluminium hull are being assembled, while the first block of the superstructure is expected to be finished just before summer. The hull is scheduled for completion in June and the entire hull, deck and superstructure will enter the fitting out shed at the main plant in Genoa before the end of September 2015.
Designed by Francesco Paszkowski and Margherita Casprini, the interior design of the main deck and guest cabins has been approved by the Owner and the full size mock-up of one VIP guest cabin is due to be completed at the end of June for inspection, and eventually allowing the Owner to modify some details.
