Ready to be completely refitted, the 26m (86’) classic motor yacht CITY (ex Exact, Anoatok) has been put up for sale by Alex C. Clarke of Denison Yacht Sales, who has personal family motivation to see her brought back to life as she was commissioned by his great grandfather, Joseph Burr Bartram. Originally launched by the prestigious Dutch shipyard FEADSHIP in 1964, superyacht CITY is currently located in Bradford Marine’s Freeport, Bahamas Shipyard on the hard.
Originally named after a bark built for the family of Bartram in the 19th century, luxury yacht EXACT was specially designed by H.W. De Voogt & Sons to be the committee boat for the 1964 America’s Cup race. Bartram himself liked to take the wheel while aboard the vessel, despite having a captain and crew.
Subsequently, EXACT yacht was rechristened ANOATOK by her new Owners. She was owned by the same family for 22 years, extensively cruising along the Eastern Seaboard, Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean.
The outstanding 86-foot classic yacht CITY (ex Exact, Anoatak) is currently available for inspection at Bradford Marine Bahamas. She needs about one-third of her steel hull bottom re-plated, with the bow requiring major reframing. Moreover, the deck needs replacing, with water leakage having taken place in the dining area as well as crew quarters.
There is already a complete team in place at Lotronics, who can finish the refit. The Dutch company focuses on classic Feadships of the Heritage Fleet, having completed such impressive refit projects as the 1969-launched motor yacht OLYMPIA. The refit of CITY yacht can also be coordinated with Feadship Makkum and Aalsmeer.
Alex C. Clarke of Denison Yacht Sales welcomes a conversation with any serious buyer or broker, who could be interested in this project. Asking price is $200,000 USD.
